An Afternoon in Inveraray

As you may or may not know, Chris & I are getting married this year so this weekend we had to venture and pick up his kilt, which was being made by a talented team in the beautiful town of Inveraray.

The weather has been pretty bleak recently so it was a lovely excuse to get out exploring again.

Brambles of Inveraray

Our first stop was Brambles of Inveraray - a fantastic cafe that we stop in every time we visit.
You can't go wrong in here whether you are having a hearty lunch or some tea and cake! It is always busy so I would recommend avoiding the lunchtime rush if you want to guarantee a table.

Inveraray Castle

A trip to Inveraray wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Castle however unfotunately it was closed but we were more than happy with a saunter around the beautiful grounds.

Inveraray Main Street

After our jaunt around the castle grounds we had a potter around the main street & past the famous Inveraray Jail - I've not been since I was young however if you've never been before you should pop in - and on to the kilt shop.

It was just a little flying visit today however hopefully this gives you a flavour of the town & our Sunday drive.
